The Story Behind Kamado BONO EVO – 10 Years in the Making
Today is a special milestone for everyone at Kamado BONO. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we’re proud to introduce the Kamado BONO EVO—a ceramic grill built on more than 10 years of grilling experience, product development, and continuous improvement.
The EVO isn’t simply our newest grill. It represents everything we’ve learned from hundreds of thousands of grill owners, thousands of grilling sessions, and years of engineering.
Designed in Lithuania
Every Kamado BONO EVO begins with an idea.
Working alongside an experienced Lithuanian product designer, we transformed countless concepts into sketches, prototypes, and technical solutions. As passionate grillers ourselves, we continuously challenged every detail—asking how the grill could become more practical, more intuitive, and more enjoyable for both beginners and experienced BBQ enthusiasts.
Every prototype was tested, refined, and improved until it met our expectations.
Built Together
Developing the EVO was a collaboration between our design team, manufacturing engineers, and experienced grillers.
Our factory engineers embraced the challenge, making hundreds of engineering improvements throughout the development process. Complex ideas became practical solutions, and many ambitious concepts eventually found their way into the final product.
Meanwhile, our creative team focused on user experience, sustainable packaging, and creating a grill that feels as premium as it performs.
At the same time, our commercial team kept asking one important question:
“Can we deliver all of this while keeping the grill affordable?”
Providing exceptional value has always been one of the core principles of Kamado BONO.
An Original Kamado BONO Design
Rather than adapting existing products, we chose to develop our own solutions.
The Kamado BONO EVO was designed in Lithuania, and its distinctive cylindrical design is protected by a registered design patent. Every improvement, every feature, and every engineering decision was made with one goal—to create a grill that truly represents the Kamado BONO philosophy.
Built on 10 Years of Experience
Although developing the EVO took nearly six years, its story started much earlier.
The grill is built on more than a decade of experience:
- 900+ team grilling sessions every year
- 200+ BBQ masterclasses across 10 countries
- 80+ BBQ championships throughout Europe and the USA
- 300,000+ Kamado BONO grill owners worldwide
- 7 BBQ festivals and 7 international championships organised by our team
Every lesson learned, every conversation with customers, and every challenge helped shape the EVO into what it is today.
More Than Just a New Grill
Building the Kamado BONO EVO wasn’t about creating another ceramic grill.
It was about combining ten years of practical grilling experience with modern engineering, thoughtful design, and continuous innovation.
Choosing to become product creators—not simply grill sellers—has allowed us to deliver greater value to our customers and partners around the world.
For us, the Kamado BONO EVO is more than a new product.
It’s the result of ten years of learning, improving, and never settling for “good enough.”
