  • 1 kg apples
  • 40 g butter
  • 50 g honey
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • For the crumble:
  • 100 g honey
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 100 g butter
  • 150 g oats
  • 50 g flour

Recipe

  1. English apple pie: Prepare the Kamado BONO grill for indirect cooking, light the charcoal with a fire starter, and wait until the temperature reaches 180 degrees Celsius. Adjust the top and bottom air vents to maintain a consistent temperature.
  2. Place the stainless steel cooking grates, and set a skillet on top of them.
  3. Melt the butter and honey in the skillet, then add the peeled, diced apples.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Transfer the sautéed apples to a baking dish or small molds.
  6. Mix flour, oats, sugar, chopped nuts, honey, and melted butter, then spread evenly over the apples.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes at 180°C. Serve with ice cream.
