Ingredients

  •  0.5 kg small cooked beets
  • A pinch of salt
  • Oil for frying
  • 00 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 50 ml wine vinegar
  • 80 g brown sugar
  • A few sprigs of fresh thyme

Recipe

  1. Prepare the Kamado BONO grill for direct cooking. Light the charcoal with a starter and place the stainless steel grates on top. Wait until the temperature reaches 200°C (392°F). Adjust the top and bottom air vents to maintain an even temperature.
  2. Place a cast iron frying pan on the grates and add oil. Heat the frying pan. Add the beets and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Pour in balsamic vinegar and wine vinegar, and add sugar. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the liquid evaporates, the sugar dissolves, and the beets caramelize.
  3. Sprinkle with fresh thyme!
  4. Enjoy your meal!
